Modern research in molecular biology has proved beyond doubt that all human beings on earth have a common origin. As a corollary, there should be some relationship between different civilizations and cultures. However, any evidence for the evolution of world civilizations from each other have been shrouded in mystery. The ravages of time have destroyed much of the evidence into a million-piece-jigsaw-puzzle. Dr Bharat Jhunjhunwala has taken up a mammoth painstaking task of solving this jigsaw-puzzle and come up with this fantastic book. I congratulate him for his path-breaking and thought provoking work that shows the common origins of the Indic and the Semitic people. At places, the arguments appears speculative but on the whole the author has been able to unravel strong common links between the ancient stories of the Hindus and the Semitic cultures. I am sure that this book will generate a great discussion and bring like-minded researchers closer to each other.
